Directions to Cove View Cottage B&B are as follows:

From Victoria head for Sooke/Port Renfrew. After around 20 minutes you will see the 17 Mile House Pub on your right hand side, and Manzer Road is the 3rd turning on the left after the Pub (Pub, Gillespie, Polymede, Manzer). Cove View Cotttage B&B is a short distance down the road on the right hand side. (View enhanced Google map.)

LOCAL INTEREST & ACTIVITIES

Cove View Cottage B&B is convenient for many of the attractions in and around Sooke. A short 5-10 minute drive to Whiffin Spit, where one can savour the views of the snow tipped Olympic Mountains, along with watching the harbour seals and shore birds.

Sooke Region Museum & Visitor Centre will give you extensive information of the local history of Sooke and surrounding area.

Take the West Coast Road where you will find several small quiet beaches, all different, some sheltered and some with rough surf, but all well worth taking a walk along the waters edge. A 1.5 hour drive will take you to Botanical Beach, where, when the tide is out, the tidal pools are abundent with shells and starfish. The Sooke area is a hiker's paradise with many parks for all skill & fitness levels.

Local Restaurants are from family style to that 'special occasion' date.

Sooke is a 35 minute drive into Victoria, where you can visit the Royal BC Museum, the BC Parliament Buildings, the vendors along the harbour and the eclectic stores in downtown Victoria. A London-style double decker bus will take you on a scenic drive around the harbour and Beacon Hill Park. The world renowned Butchert Gardens is a 45 minute drive from Sooke, along with Butterfly Gardens.
